The Mysterious Mind of Logan

Today I’m posting a couple exchanges that I’ve recently had with my son Logan. In doing so, I should point out that I don’t claim to understand the cryptic inner-workings of his three year old brain, I merely pass on his puzzling proclamations to you, good reader.

  1. Dad: “That’s a nice picture Logan.”
    Logan: “It’s a dark forest.”
    Dad: “Oh? How dark?”
    Logan: “One hundred dollars dark.”

  2. Logan: “Ask me to hear a joke.”
    Dad: “Okay, can I hear a joke?”
    Logan: “Why did a boy swim in a water with a bad sock?”
    Dad: “Uh… I don’t know. Why?”
    Logan: “Because he wanted to be EATED by the bad sock!!”
    (At this point I realized that he was trying to say “shark” rather than “sock”, but still…)

What can I say? He is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma, that eats only fishy crackers.

Logan is giving unto you a mystic word. In the first exchange he is revealing the fact that a dark spectre has corupted the mind of man, disabling his ability to see nature as anything other than a resource to exploit for personal gain. The second exchange is even more revealing, being that despite the fact the we believe things are accidents, really, we put ourselves in harm’s way. Your son is a mystic prophet and a cult leader. I am his holy messenger, and can collect alms for him. Give him $25,000 and your sould will be saved. I will be happy to collect on his behalf. ;-)
