NaPoWriMo Day 1: Larval Dragons

It’s that time of year again already… April is National Poetry Writing Month (a.k.a. NaPoWriMo) and the challenge is to write at least a poem a day for the entire month. I’ll kick it off conservatively with a Four and Twenty:

Larval Dragons

These naiads that flit below the surface
soon sprout wings to fly above it.
Oh, to trade seas like that.

You should write at least one poem about baby vampire bats..
